Job summary

Chase Brexton Health Care in Baltimore, MD, invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner Fellow as part of the SNAPT Fellowship program. This post-graduate clinical trainee will provide mentored patient care within an interdisciplinary team, considering psychosocial aspects of health and disease.

The Fellow will transition after 12 months to traditional practice and is committed to a second year of Nurse Practitioner employment with opportunities for ongoing professional development in HIV

Qualifications

• Recent NP program graduate within 2 years.
• Primary Care Adult/Family NP certification or eligibility.
• Maryland licensure and clinical certification; DEA/MD CDS eligibility.
• Interest in community health settings.
• Interest in gender-affirming care, HIV medicine, sexual health.
• Experience working in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standard clinical care with appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment.
• Considers psychosocial aspects of health and disease in care.
• Uses diagnostic testing cost-effectively and provides appropriate treatment.
• Engages patients in their care and documents thoroughly.
• Participates in evaluation and feedback with preceptors and mentors.
• Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in patient care.
• Seeks physician consultation when appropriate.
• Shows progress toward professional role development.
