Job summary

FNA skills are a plus and collaboration with a contracted physician is required.

Key responsibilities include same-day visits, education for patients and families, and timely documentation. Maryland NP licensure and ongoing CME are essential to stay current in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NP certification.
• Minimum of two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Active Maryland NP license in good standing.

Responsibilities

Luminis Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established Endocrinology/Diabetes practice. This position involves managing complex endocrine patients, with the ability to perform Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA) considered a plus. The Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with a contracted physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care, in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and treat patients with complex endocrine conditions.
• Provide education and counseling tailored to each patient's medical needs.
• Conduct same-day and acute care visits as required.
• Communicate treatment plans and progress with patients, families, and care teams.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists or healthcare providers when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties in compliance with the State of Maryland BPQA, AMA, HCFA, and AAHS policies.
• Stay current with licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in Endocrinology preferred; FNA skills a plus.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
