Navista, in partnership with cCARE (California Cancer Associates for Research & Excellence), seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support independent community oncology practices across California. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and chemotherapy teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in NP or PA studies is required.
  • Current California RN license.
  • CA NP license and Furnishing license within 6 months of hire.
  • DEA license within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • EMR/computer skills are required.
  • 2+ year commitment preferred.
  • Vaccination mandates compliance as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs physical examinations and applies nursing process to patient care problems.
  • Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings; consults with physician as needed.
  • Conducts hospital consults and participates in rounding inpatients if needed.
  • Develops and implements patient education activities.
  • Builds trusting relationships with patients and referring providers.
  • Provides leadership in care coordination and serves as a clinical resource to medical staff.

What We Offer
  • Compensation: Anticipated salary range of $155,000 - $200,000 per year. The salary range listed is an estimate and is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Major Responsibilities
  • Performs physical examinations applying the medical model and nursing process to patient care problems. Strives to maintain consistency of quality patient care.
  • Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings, consulting with physician advisor when indicated; evaluates diagnoses, and manages certain illnesses and conditions; orders appropriate laboratory studies; identifies appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions; refers or consults with other physicians.
  • Conducts hospital consults & participates in rounding of inpatients if needed.
  • Develops and implements patient education activities.
  • Builds trusting relationships with patients and referring providers.
  • Provides leadership in care coordination and serves as a clinical resource to medical assistants and chemotherapy nurse.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • Master's Degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • California Nurse Practitioner License
  • California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License within 6 months of hire
  • DEA within 6 months of hireNational Nurse Practitioner Board Certification through accrediting body
  • Current Basic Life Support
  • EMR / computer skills
  • 2+ year commitment preferred
  • Mission-driven towards comprehensive patient care, i.e., a desire to develop depth in caring for patient as a whole and setting down roots in the provider community.
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Calm under pressure; problem-solving skills
