Job summary

Agape Mental Health Services seeks a Medical Director to lead clinical operations at our Maryland facility, ensuring smooth, compliant, high-quality care and effective communication among doctors, hospitals, and patients.

You will hold an MD/DO or CRNP-PMH license, Maryland DEA registration, and 5+ years in specialty care with managerial experience, guiding strategic planning with the CEO and ensuring OMHC COMAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Medical leadership requires an MD/DO or CRNP-PMH and board certification.
• Current state medical license and Maryland DEA license required.
• Minimum 5 years in clinical care and managerial roles.
• Proficient in written, verbal, and technological communication.

Job description

• Serve as Agape Mental Health Services’ Medical Director


• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the mental healthcare facility


• Collaborate with the CEO/President and administrators to set and achieve strategic goals


• Implement and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including OMHC COMAR requirements


• Research and inform the executive team about cost reduction solutions, risk management issues, and emergency planning procedures


• Develop strategies to improve communication between doctors’ offices, hospitals, and patients


• Relay time-sensitive and high-priority information during meetings and other feedback mechanisms


• Ensure quality medical care and consumer satisfaction


• Oversee and direct medical staff’s day-to-day operations and practices


• Ensure clients understand their treatment, prescriptions, and programs


• Provide evaluation and treatment services according to program protocol


• Develop ongoing relationships with the medical community


• Implement core values and lead by example


• Engage in strategic planning to advance Agape Mental Health Services’ mission and objectives


• Participate in the admission process


• Maintain and implement an understanding of medical documentation


• Ensure ITPs are reviewed and signed


• Represent medical leadership during staff meetings and designated committee meetings

Requirements

• CRNP-PMH or Psychiatrist


• Degree from an accredited medical school


• Current state medical license


• Valid Maryland DEA license


• Relevant practice and supervisory experience


• 5 or more years in a specialty of care and managerial roles


• Highly skilled in written, verbal, and technological communication


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word


• Regularly walk, stand, or stoop


• Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds


• Regularly drive a motor vehicle


• Must be licensed in the state of Maryland


• Must have a Maryland Medicaid Number
