Qualifications

• Must maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state.
• Preferred experience in medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma settings.
• Ability to conduct medical exams and document in SOAP format.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to inmates including exams and chronic care clinics.
• Maintain accurate progress note documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and manage referrals.

Skills

Patience and tact to deal with inmates

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Advanced degree in accredited Nurse Practitioner program
