Health Advocates Network in Canon City, CO seeks a Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) for a contract role. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage acute and chronic conditions, and document encounters in the EMR.

This full-time contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $145.00/hour (1099), weekends may be required, and access to CEUs, referral bonuses, hotel savings, pet insurance, and dedicated recruiter support.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the State in CO in good standing.
• 1 year of experience.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• CPR (AHA) certification.
• Current CO credentials.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) if required.
• Current certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, exams, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Document encounters in the EMR.
• Promote preventive care and screenings.

Shift Details:

• Full Time Schedules
• Some weekends may be required
• 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)
• MON-THUR OR TUES-FRI 0700-1700, 0800-1800

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote preventive care and wellness through patient education and screenings.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, facility policies, and regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the State in CO. The license MUST be in good standing
• 1 year of experience
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
• Must have up to date credentials in the state of CO
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
