Qualifications

• Current APRN licensure in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and initiate medical care for emergencies throughout the facility.
• Identify inmate health problems and prescribe treatment under physician direction.
• Provide education to inmates, healthcare staff, and correctional staff.
• Document all healthcare contacts.
• Adhere to safety, security policies, and infection control practices.
• Assign tasks to team members as needed.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
