Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Complex Family Planning is seeking a licensed NP to provide direct patient care within complex family planning and OB/GYN services. You will assess patients, order procedures, educate patients, and coordinate comprehensive care with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an NP with MSN, NY/eligible state NP licensure, and current BLS, working Monday through Friday on-site in NYC locations. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• MSN required and active RN/NP licensure in NY or applicable state.
• Current NP certification and BLS from American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of family planning and obstetrics/gynecology practice standards.
• Ability to work independently within regulatory scope.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with physicians.
• Order labs, imaging, and consultations as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and therapies following standard of care.
• Educate patients on contraception, pregnancy options, and care.
• Document in medical records per policy and maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and scope of practice.
• Contribute to perioperative genetic testing coordination where applicable.
