Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Directly performs or orders appropriate diagnostic studies and interprets finished results.
• Develops and implements long and short range treatment plans.
• Performs procedures such as obtaining specimens, injections, immunizations, skin biopsies, suturing, wound care.
• Writes orders to adjust medications, subject to physician review.
• Initiates consultations and coordinates scheduling for tests.
• Monitors patient progress and notifies physicians of changes.
• Instructs patients and families on preventive care and prescribed treatments.
• Acts as liaison with governmental agencies and assists with research projects.
• References community resources for patient referrals and ensures compliance with policies.
