Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for our California team to diagnose and treat conditions in a post-acute, skilled nursing facility. You will serve as the go-to provider for patient care and medical guidance, conducting exams, interpreting tests, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

You will educate patients and families, promote disease prevention, and contribute to ongoing professional development through research and discourse within the post-acute

Qualifications

• California NP license required.
• Experience in post-acute or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and manage chronic and infectious diseases.

As a non-physician provider, you are the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care and medical guidance is achieved. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health. You are both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: acute care, family health or geriatrics. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is vital. As a provider, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving, and good communication skills are important.
