Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Certified NP for a part-time role traveling between multiple facilities in the Los Angeles area. You will provide staffing coverage for vacations, PTO, and other absences to maintain continuity of operations.

We offer training, mentorship, and support to succeed in post-acute and skilled nursing care, with competitive daily pay and uncapped bonuses. This position emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NP license and DEA registration.
• Open to all experience levels; training and mentorship provided.
• Geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care interest preferred.
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered approach desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and prevention.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

As a Certified NP, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
