About the Role:

The Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiology Clinic plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients across diverse age groups and backgrounds. This position involves conducting detailed patient assessments, diagnosing cardiac conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals. The Nurse Practitioner will manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases, ensuring continuity of care through patient education, medication management, and follow‑up evaluations. By utilizing evidence‑based practices and the latest clinical guidelines, the role aims to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life for those with heart‑related health issues. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the United States.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification (Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult‑Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, or other appropriate certification).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology or a related specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

  • Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certification or other cardiology‑related certification.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with various cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing pharmacologic therapies in accordance with state laws and clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
  • Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, disease management, and preventive care to promote cardiovascular health.
