Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Georgia seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join the AMG Neurosurgery team. You will diagnose and treat specialty patients across adolescence to geriatrics, with focus on pain management and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and licensed in Georgia.
• Certification at a national level is required.
• At least one year of NP experience preferred in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat specialty-specific patients across age groups.
• Assess and manage pain and other conditions in outpatient/inpatient settings.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation and ensure patient safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and teamwork within the practice.

Job description

Education Requirements

Graduate of appropriate baccalaureate and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Georgia and current national certification.

Experience

At least one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferably in area of practice specialty.

Required Skills

Must possess excellent clinical skills as a Nurse Practitioner. Ability to provide individualized care, focusing not only on health problems, but also on the effect health problems have on people and their families. Ability to explain the details of health problems, medications, and other topics to help people fully understand how to take care of themselves. Provide quality of care that results in a high level of patient satisfaction.

Nurse Practitioner — AMG Neurosurgery

Diagnosis and treatment of specialty-specific patients for age groups adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Assessment and management of pain. Outpatient/inpatient clinical responsibilities applicable to specialty. Understands importance of excellent customer service and teamwork. Maintains complete, accurate and legible documentation. Assumes responsibility for professional development and ongoing education to maintain a high degree of proficiency. Demonstrates consistent level of performance and productivity.

Physical Demands

Good physical and mental health. Must be able to lift, bend, pull, and push, using good body mechanics, without limitations. Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material and visualize patients to the degree that changes in color or respirations can be detected; hearing ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. Ability to work under supervision or independently as directed by the situations. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
