Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or PMHNP to provide medical services in collaboration with a physician, implement treatment plans, and educate patients on medical aspects of their care.

You will mentor colleagues, develop training content on substance use disorders, participate in required trainings, and ensure compliance with accreditation and health standards within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent required.
• Active state licensure as FNP/APRN/CNP/PMHNP required.
• 3–5 years’ experience preferred, with at least 1 year in addiction treatment.
• DEA licensure as required by BrightView.
• Ability to provide medical services within scope of education, training, and expertise.
• Understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services in collaboration with a licensed physician.
• Implement treatment plans in coordination with the supervising physician.
• Inform patients about the medical components of their treatment.
• Mentor and conduct professional development activities in medical subjects relevant to patient treatment.
• Participate in required trainings and comply with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Develop and present training content on medical topics relevant to substance use disorders and general health practices.
• Perform medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise.
• Ensure implementation of medical quality health standards for patients and employees.
• Provide medical input into program philosophy, treatment services, and patient care.
• Respond to emergency care providers requiring consultation for program patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospitals involved in treating program patients.
• Attend weekly treatment team meetings, seminars, and training.
• Maintain current understanding of drug/alcohol abuse, addiction, and treatment information.
• Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients, team members, and constituents.
• Ensure the treatment center meets accreditation standards related to medical, health, and safety issues.
