Job summary

Helena Valley Addiction Services in Helena, MT, is seeking a Physician Assistant/NP to evaluate opioid use disorder and develop medication treatment plans. This role conducts comprehensive medical histories, physicals, and annual evaluations, coordinating care in a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate will assess patients for MAT, monitor safety with EKGs and labs, and collaborate with primary care and SUD teams to ensure integrated care and effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Montana.
• Active and unrestricted advanced registered nurse practitioner license for the state of Montana.
• Current DEA registration number, or ability to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment.
• A valid motor vehicle license and current auto insurance.
• One year of experience as a nurse practitioner in a community health agency, hospital, or provider’s office.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assess patients using clinical tools to determine MAT medication type and dosage.
• Performs intake medical examinations and telehealth follow-up when appropriate.
• Reviews EKG and laboratory results to monitor safety and health conditions.
• Coordinates with SUD and mental health staff for collaborative care planning.
• Participates in weekly case staffing with dispensing, SUDP and medical staff.
• Maintains HIPAA and 42 C.F.R. Part 2 Confidentiality regulations and compliance.
