Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Agawam, MA is looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to support adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at a new facility. The ideal candidate will provide client-centered medical care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients in their recovery journey. A valid Massachusetts license is required along with at least 2 years in Addiction Medicine or related fields. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $155,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in Addiction Medicine, Behavioral Health, or related acute/primary care with SUD exposure.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration; comfort in residential/detox settings.
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorization and cost-containment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive H&Ps and ongoing medical evaluations.
  • Manage acute issues/sick calls and develop transition plans.
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs.
  • Document in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to program improvements.

Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA

Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) supporting adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at our new Springfield/Agawam facility. You'll deliver client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care to help clients reclaim health and independence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive H&Ps and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels.
  • Manage acute issues/sick calls and develop safe, compliant discharge and transition plans.
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate with psychiatry and PCPs.
  • Optimize post-discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective options.
  • Document in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner; uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to program improvements.
  • If applicable: Evaluate and manage MAT (e.g., buprenorphine) per credentialing and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Massachusetts license as NP (CRNP) or PA; national certification in good standing.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Addiction Medicine, Behavioral Health, or related acute/primary care with SUD exposure.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration experience; comfort in residential/detox settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols.
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorization and cost-containment.
  • EHR proficiency; participation in quality/safety initiatives.
Salary

Compensation: $155,000 and up annually, (dependent on experience, certification, experience) + full benefits.
