Martin's Point Health Care in Portland, ME is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Access Clinic in a 30-hour position, providing comprehensive care with a collaborative care model.

The role emphasizes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing under delegation, and coordinating patient care with supervising physicians and the care team. DEA and NP licenses are required along with active BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• State Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
• DEA License.
• ANA Board certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Active BLS or ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Elucidates detailed patient history and conducts physician-level examinations.
• Performs diagnostic studies and therapeutic procedures within scope of training and privileges.
• Prescribes medications per supervising physician delegation.
• Collaborates with physicians and health-care team to coordinate patient care.
• Documents capability and maintains privileges as granted by committee.
• Participates in daily huddles and team meetings to improve patient outcomes.
