Altea Healthcare seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our LTACH team in a high-paying, full-time role. The position features a 7-on/7-off schedule, offering a strong work-life balance while delivering high-quality inpatient care in a complex LTACH setting.

The NP will work with an interdisciplinary team, perform comprehensive exams, order tests, diagnose and manage conditions, prescribe treatments, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current NP and eligible for licensure in the United States.
• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
• Interest in geriatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, or post-acute care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with a patient-centered approach.

Responsabilités

• Performing comprehensive physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging.
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribing medications and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.

What You'll Do

As a Certified PA, you'll serve as a key clinical provider in LTACH setting, delivering high-quality care to patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive physical exams and reviewing medical histories
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribing medications and developing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and facility staff
• Educating patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record

Who Should Apply?

The ideal candidate should be:

• Comfortable practicing in a complex inpatient hospital environment.
• Confident managing medically complex patients with multiple comorbidities.
• Familiar with ventilators, tracheostomies, respiratory failure, sepsis, and acute inpatient medicine.
• Comfortable recognizing and managing urgent clinical situations while working collaboratively with specialists.
• Familiar with electrolyte management, particularly in dialysis patients.
