Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care in Utah is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. You will evaluate patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management, performing exams, ordering tests, and coordinating care with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an MS degree with an NP certification and Utah nursing licensure. Orthopedic or orthopedic-related experience is a plus; excellent clinical judgment and teamwork are essential for high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree or higher with Nurse Practitioner program.
• Utah Nurse Practitioner license/certification with Utah Board of Nursing.
• Orthopedic and Neuro experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients for health history and perform physical examination.
• Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Document H & P, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre- and post-operative care.
• Caring for patients in a clinical setting.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Summary Of Position

The NP or Physician's Assistant role includes examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care for patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management. Professional practice is in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. A background in Orthopedic Medicine or Sports Medicine is ideal.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre- and post-operative care

Requirements

• Education/Training -Master of Science degree or higher, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
• License/Certification - Registered and currently recorded with the Utah Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner
• Orthopedic and Neuro experience is a plus

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.
