Job summary

Women's Health Arizona is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary and specialty care for women. You will assess, diagnose, and manage gynecologic and general health needs across the lifespan, partnering with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a NP degree (DNP/ MSN) with AZ licensure and WHNP/FNP certification preferred, plus 2–3 years in women's health. Strong exam skills, counseling, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) from an accredited NP program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Arizona.
• WHNP or FNP certification with women's health experience preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of NP clinical experience, preferably in women’s health/OBGYN.
• Strong clinical skills in health assessments, diagnoses and gynecological exams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Description

The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality primary and specialty care to women across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in women's health, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to promoting women's health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and gynecological screenings for women of all ages. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions, including gynecological disorders, reproductive health issues, and menopausal symptoms. Develop and implement individualized care plans and treatment regimens based on patient needs, preferences, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Primary Care Services: Provide primary care services, including preventive care, health maintenance, and health promotion activities such as screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling. Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and thyroid disorders through medication management, monitoring, and patient education.
• Women's Health Services: Perform gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap smears, to screen for gynecological conditions and reproductive health issues. Provide contraceptive counseling, family planning services, and prenatal care for pregnant patients, including prenatal assessments, screenings, and education.
• Family Planning and Reproductive Health: Provide counseling and education on contraceptive options, fertility awareness methods, and family planning services to women and couples. Perform contraceptive procedures, such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and contraceptive implant insertions, as well as counseling on abortion options and referrals as appropriate.
• Health Education and Counseling: Educate patients on women's health topics, preventive care measures, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health and wellness. Provide counseling and support to patients regarding reproductive health, sexuality, menopause, and other women's health issues.
• Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up services. Refer patients to specialists, allied health professionals, and community resources for additional evaluation and treatment as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Arizona.
• Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with women's health experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in women's health or OBGYN.
• Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in conducting health assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, and performing gynecological examinations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care, promoting women's health and wellness, and adhering to evidence-based practice guidelines.
