VIP Community Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to conduct DSM-5-TR based clinical assessments and establish OUD diagnoses with individualized treatment plans. You will screen for co-occurring conditions, perform overdose risk assessments, and review PDMP data for each admission.
Under Medical Director oversight, you will initiate MOUD, including the first methadone dose on the Mobile Medication Unit when appropriate, and support shared decision-making for FDA-approved options.
Under the oversight of the Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner conducts clinical assessment
and MOUD induction on the Mobile Medication Unit and at the clinic. The Nurse Practitioner
completes DSM-5-TR based assessment, co-occurring screening, and structured overdose risk
assessment, reviews the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, and, through shared decision
making, determines the appropriate FDA-approved medication and initiates treatment when
clinically appropriate.
