Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver a broad range of urgent care services to pediatric and adult patients. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute conditions, order tests, and perform minor procedures in a fast-paced setting alongside physicians.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing with NP certification and at least one year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (required).
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) (required).
• Minimum 1 year of full-time NP/PA experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required).
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required).
• Proficient in urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting (required).
• Experience with EMR systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention; administer vaccinations.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.

You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
