Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role located in Fishers, IN. The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care for work-related injuries and occupational health needs, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up. Daily responsibilities include performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing medications when clinically appropriate, and documenting encounters in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards. The role involves collaborating closely with physicians, clinic staff, and employer representatives to support safe return-to-work plans and clear communication on treatment status and restrictions. The Nurse Practitioner will also participate in preventive services such as pre-employment exams, immunizations, and health screenings, while promoting evidence-based, cost-conscious care.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Indiana and national certification (e.g., FNP, ANP, or equivalent), with eligibility to practice in an occupational medicine or primary care setting.
• Clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for musculoskeletal injuries, acute care needs, and occupational health concerns.
• Experience or strong interest in occupational medicine, urgent care, or primary care, including familiarity with work-related injury management and return-to-work guidelines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, employers, and clinical staff, including explaining treatment plans, restrictions, and next steps.
• Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to regulatory compliance and clinic protocols.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and conservative, function-focused care that avoids unnecessary interventions and supports safe, timely return to work.
• Capacity to work independently in a physician-led clinic while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic proficiency with electronic medical records and standard clinical technologies; willingness to adapt to clinic workflows and systems.
• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; occupational medicine or urgent care experience preferred but not required.
