State of Indiana is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Evansville State Hospital. The role supports inpatient care, clinical decision making, and collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses and therapists.

Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Active Treatment helps our patients achieve their goals directed towards living in the most non-restrictive environment possible.
Our team of professionals assist our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital.
This position works as a member of the professional medical staff of the Evansville campuses. Scheduled hours are 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM and 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday. No weekend or observed holiday requirements.
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $109,304.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
A graduate‑level degree in nursing from an accredited institution, a current Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of Indiana, and valid DEA and Indiana CSR registrations.
