Alteas Health in Chesterfield, Missouri seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver specialty Pulmonology and Cardiology care across Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Post-Acute facilities in the St. Louis area.

This full-time role provides clinical autonomy with physician collaboration, daily travel, and a work-life balanced daytime schedule. A $3,000 signing bonus is available for eligible candidates, with a comprehensive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in the practicing state.
• National certification appropriate to licensure is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum six months of NP clinical experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialty Pulmonology and Cardiology care in SNF, LTAC, and post-acute settings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, and other health professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Round at assigned facilities and build relationships with leadership.

Assigned Territory

This position serves patients throughout the St. Louis area, providing specialty care at Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Post-Acute Care facilities located in St. Louis, University City, Richmond Heights, and surrounding communities. Daily travel within the assigned territory is expected to support patient care and operational needs.

Providers enjoy a full-time, Monday through Friday daytime schedule with no regularly scheduled weekends or traditional on-call responsibilities, allowing for an exceptional work-life balance.

What You'll Do

As a Nurse Practitioner with Alteas Health, you'll provide specialty Pulmonology services while working collaboratively with physicians, facility staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute, chronic, and episodic cardiovascular or pulmonary conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practice.
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic testing.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, pharmacy, social services, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Round at assigned Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Post-Acute Care facilities.
• Build strong relationships with facility leadership and clinical teams.
• Represent Alteas Health with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and clinical excellence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state(s) of practice.
• Current national certification appropriate to licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum six (6) months of Nurse Practitioner clinical experience.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel daily throughout an assigned territory.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Post-Acute Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Hospital Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience caring for medically complex patient populations.
