The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industries domestically and internationally and is headquartered along the Gulf Coast, providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to the industry. The Nurse Practitioner works under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer to evaluate and treat patients. They may also assist in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work is primarily performed in an industrial facility but may also take place in occupational health clinics, mobile medical units, outdoor settings, and employer or client locations. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions, noise, industrial environments, blood or other potentially infectious materials, and other occupational hazards requiring appropriate personal protective equipment. The position may require travel, variable schedules, after-hours work, and extended assignments away from the employee's primary work location. The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer. This position has no direct reports.
