Job summary

Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District is seeking a school nurse to perform delegated nursing services for students at assigned school(s) under the supervision of the building principal and head nurse.

This full-time position requires 7.0 hours per day, 5 days per week across 195 days per year; compensation is hourly with step-based pay. Minimum qualifications include college coursework or higher, ParaPro, and related experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college coursework or an associate's degree or higher.
• ParaPro Assessment passing.
• One year of related work experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated nursing services for students under supervision.
• Support student health and safety at assigned school(s).
• Operate basic office equipment as needed and maintain records.

Job Summary:

7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of college coursework
• OR an Associate's Degree or higher
• OR passage of the ParaPro Assessment
• One year of related successful work experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
• Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
• Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing with coursework related to nursing, or Permanent Certification in School Nursing
• CPR Certification
• LPN Certification

Salary:

Step 1; $17.47/hour non-degreed; $19.74/hour 2-year degree
