Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis in Missouri seeks an experienced Nursing Operations leader for the day shift. You will coordinate daily operations with leadership to ensure clinical objectives and high-quality patient care across the ministry.

You will direct and educate nursing and support staff, manage patient flow, respond to emergencies, and lead incident command during disasters while supporting hiring and staff development.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with two years of progressive leadership experience.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Missouri RN license or compact state license; BLS HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during shift.
• Serves as a resource to staff.
• Manages patient flow within assigned area.
• Provides support and coordination for patient emergencies.
• Leads incident command for disasters until relieved by administrator.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and addresses issues impacting outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through channels.
• Assists with hiring, training, directing and evaluating staff.
• Maintains alertness and safety in daily operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
