CAPS & Maple City is seeking an OB Nurse to join our Goshen, Indiana team. This Level 2 position covers OB nursing and supports on the nursing floor as needed, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary care team to provide safe, comprehensive maternal care.

The role involves coordinating OB care, timely documentation, patient education, and engagement via phone, MyChart, and in-person visits. Indiana RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN is preferred, with opportunities for ongoing professional

Responsibilities

Job Summary

CAPS & Maple City is an organization that supports healthy, safe, and thriving children and families by providing quality, comprehensive services to all. The OB Nurse position is a Level 2 nursing position, which includes OB nursing as well as assisting on the nursing floor as needed

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the cross-disciplinary care team to address the holistic needs of OB patients.
• Engages patients to address patient needs via phone/MyChart/in-person, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care approaches
• Provides OB education to patients as needed
• Coordinates care for OB patients
• Completes documentation in a timely and clear manner for OB patients
• Refills patient medications
• Participates in Initial OB appointments
• Attends monthly OB meetings and collaborates with OB team
• Completes patient forms and letters in collaboration with provider
• Coordinates with outside entities for patient care
• Maintains skills competency by participating in scheduled trainings
• Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
• Available to work full time, from 8 am-6pm, 4 days a week.
• Able to travel between medical sites to provide coverage as needed.

Education and Experience

• Nursing degree, BSN preferred
• OB experience preferred
• State of Indiana licensure, Registered Nurse required
• Basic Life Support Certification required
• Trauma Informed Care approach preferred; training supported
• Motivational Interviewing training preferred; training supported

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to perform prolonged or extensive standing and walking
• Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
