Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System’s UM Capital Region Hospital in Largo, MD seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife to join a busy obstetrics and gynecology service. The CNM will provide comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients and support outpatient midwifery services across multiple sites, including a mobile unit serving underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree – mandatory.
• BLS Certification mandatory.
• Maryland CNM License mandatory.
• Maryland CDS License mandatory.
• Maryland State DEA License mandatory.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification mandatory.
• NCC EFM Certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care to antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients.
• Manage the caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients per midwifery protocols.
• Admission, monitoring, and discharge planning with follow-through.
• Teach students in this role.
