A leading health care organization is seeking a full-time Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive care in various patient settings. This role involves monitoring fetal health and providing family planning services within a flexible schedule. Ideal candidates will possess a Master's Degree in Nursing and the necessary state licenses, contributing to high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment.
We are seeking a full time, 40-hour Nurse Midwife to support our practice. The schedule would require flexibility between Monday through Friday days with some nights and weekends.
Responsible for safe and personalized care to patients in the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and routine GYN settings.
-Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and/or newborn care to patients.
-Monitor fetal development by listening to fetal heartbeat, taking external uterine measurements, identifying fetal position, or estimating fetal size and weight.
-Document patients' health histories, symptoms, physical conditions, or other diagnostic information.
-Provide patients with direct family planning services, such as inserting intrauterine devices, dispensing oral contraceptives, and fitting cervical barriers, including cervical caps or diaphragms.
-Prescribe medications as permitted by state regulations.
-Develop and implement individualized plans for health care management.
-Explain procedures to patients, family members, staff members, or others.
-Order and interpret diagnostic or laboratory tests.
