***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Prenatal care: Conducting checkups, monitoring fetal development, performing tests like ultrasounds, and nutritional counseling throughout pregnancy.
  2. Labor and delivery: Assisting women during labor, monitoring vital signs, managing complications, and delivering babies.
  3. Postpartum care: Checking on the mother's recovery, providing breastfeeding support, and addressing concerns.
  4. Gynecological care: Performing exams, providing contraception counseling, and managing gynecological conditions.
  5. Family planning education: Discussing reproductive health options, contraception methods, and preconception counseling.
  6. Patient education: Providing information and support on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
  7. Collaboration with healthcare providers: Working with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other specialists for optimal patient care.
  8. Stay updated with current practices and innovations.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned per contract requirements.
Qualifications:
  1. Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  2. Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
  3. Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
  4. Current certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
  7. Knowledge of midwifery practices, including management of normal and high-risk pregnancies.
  8. Ability to educate and support patients.
  9. Public Health clearance, immunization records, and physical health certification showing immunity to Hepatitis A and B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, and recent TB test results.
  10. Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
  11. Ability to work under stress and adapt to sudden changes, including shift flexibility.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  1. Work predominantly in an interior/office environment.
  2. Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
