Job summary

Role Description

The Nurse Midwife is a full-time, on-site role based in Spokane, WA, providing direct, patient-centered care across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Responsibilities include conducting prenatal and postpartum visits, performing comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and managing labor and birth in collaboration with the care team. The Nurse Midwife will provide education on childbirth preparation, newborn care, lactation, and reproductive health, while ensuring that clinical practices are evidence-based and aligned with Quilted Health’s inclusive care standards. Day-to-day tasks also involve maintaining accurate and timely documentation, coordinating care with other clinicians and support staff, and participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in midwifery and maternity care, including managing low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and births.
• Knowledge of nursing and medicine principles, with the ability to perform comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based care.
• Skills in family planning and reproductive health counseling, including contraception and preconception care.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification in Washington State.
• Experience in inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care with diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based model.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; NRP and other relevant perinatal certifications preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
