Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Nurse Manager for Surgical Services in the Operating Room to lead perioperative nursing practice and manage department operations on a 24/7 basis. You will ensure high-quality patient care, staffing, and compliance with standards while advancing care delivery and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nursing (BSN) or BAN required.
• Graduate Degree in nursing education preferred.
• 5 years nursing practice in specialty area and previous nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a Magnet facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees department cost centers to ensure adherence to organizational mission and strategic goals.
• In collaboration with physician leadership and other staff, develop and implement short and long-range plans and lead program development.
• Develops, implements and maintains Plan of Care for areas of accountability.
• Develop and maintain perioperative personnel and compliance with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
• Participates in the development and implementation of nursing care plans and evaluation of patient care quality.
• Promotes a learning environment that empowers nurses to provide safe, reliable, patient-centered care in the surgical setting.
• Leads department in marketing, program development, and service priorities; coordinates with nursing leaders to meet organizational goals.
• Develops, implements, and maintains a cost-effective annual budget.
• Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards and drives process improvement.
