Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Hampton VAMC is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Nursing - SCI and Rehab team.

You will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care, and you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of care based on age-specific components. The role requires leadership in a high-acuity setting with focus on evidence-based practice, regulatory compliance, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in the United States.
• Mastery or readiness for leadership in nursing management.
• Experience in SCI or medical-surgical inpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee nursing care delivery for the unit.
• Supervise direct patient care and nursing staff performance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Promote safe, high-quality and patient-centered care across shifts.
• Lead quality improvement and professional development activities.
