Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery/Antepartum/Post Partum/NICU.
  • Current Texas RN licensure and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
  • 2 years of previous Management/Supervisory experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Nurse Manager RN Women Children Services is responsible for departmental functions in support of the Hospital Mission, Vision, and Facility goals. The Nurse Manager RN Women Children Services is a registered nurse responsible for the clinical operations of Women’s Services. The Nurse Manager RN Women Children Services is responsible for the daily staffing assignments for WS as well as overseeing monthly schedules. TheNurse Manager RN Women Children Services applies knowledge of the principle of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.

The Nurse Manager RN Women Children Services identifies and remedies problems through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager RN Women Children Services works with the Director of WS in meeting facility goals for Labor & Delivery/Antepartum/Post Partum/Newborn Nursery.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery/Antepartum/Post Partum/Newborn Nursery
  • Shift Hours will be Evenings
  • 2 years of previous Management/Supervisory experience highly preferred
  • BSN Required
  • NRP is required
  • Current Texas RN licensure American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification

Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas has been serving the Rio Grande Valley for more than 30 years. Our Women’s Services include L&D and a 30+ bed NICU. We also have an entire children’s hospital within our main facility to care for the children in our community.
