The transplant program performs over 350 transplants annually and is dedicated to excellence through multi-specialty clinical expertise tailored to each patient. Our mission is to partner with patients and families to deliver compassionate care that inspires hope and improves quality of life.

The Thoracic Manager will oversee teams of clinicians and manage daily operations of the adult and pediatric Heart and Lung Transplant programs and outpatient clinics. This role involves collaboration with medical and surgical directors to meet patient care and regulatory standards, fostering exceptional patient care as a leader and professional practitioner.

We seek a skilled, compassionate Thoracic Program and Transplant Clinic Manager to join our state-of-the-art center, offering a supportive environment with top colleagues.

  • Manage daily operations of assigned patient care areas.
  • Supervise nurses and support staff, including RNs, patient care assistants, technicians, and clerical staff.
  • Prepare schedules, adjust for patient flow, and manage budgets within benchmarks like paid hours per patient day.
  • Develop programs for quality improvement, process streamlining, patient experience, and staff performance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality nursing care.
  • Build partnerships with clinicians and administrators to achieve goals.
  • Promote multidisciplinary teamwork, recruitment, performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Implement shared governance nursing model at the unit level.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $110,697.60 - $147,680.00 annually.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master's degree in a related field within 5 years of hire.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive RN experience in patient care.

Licensure: Virginia RN license, BLS certification, and valid Virginia Driver's license if overseeing multiple locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primarily sedentary, involving extensive computer work; occasional walking for meetings and programs.
