Delray Medical Center, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a patient care unit in Delray Beach, FL. The role focuses on administrative and clinical oversight to ensure cost-effective, high-quality care and staff development in collaboration with the Administrative Director.

Requirements include a Florida-licensed RN with a BSN (MSN preferred), two years in a clinical specialty and one year in supervision, BLS, and ACLS for Telemetry Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Two years of clinical specialty experience; one year in supervision/management.
• RN licensed in Florida; BLS required by American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification required for Telemetry Manager.
• National certification in area of specialty strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the patient care unit for administrative and clinical aspects, organizing, developing, directing and assuring cost-effective, quality patient care.
• Direct and oversee processes ensuring care complies with hospital, state, federal, Joint Commission and ANA standards.
• Provide education to staff based on theory and clinical expertise; maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical resources and continuity.

Up to $15,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The Nurse Manager, in collaboration with the Administrative Director, assists in managing the patient care unit for administrative and clinical aspects to include organizing, developing, directing and assuring the delivery of cost-effective, quality patient care. Directs and oversees the process which ensures that patient care is delivered in accordance with established hospital, State, Federal and Joint Commission, ANA policies, procedures, regulations, ethics, and standards. Provides education to staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise. This position will have twenty-four hour accountability to ensure clinical resource and continuity of patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, related field or equivalent competencies/job experience
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, Management or related field, or demonstrated equivalent competencies preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Two years experience in clinical related specialty; one year supervisory or management experience, working knowledge of Quality Improvement process and Joint Commission standards.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• ACLS certification required for Telemetry Clinical Manger.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Managerial experience - able to relate to a large variety of individuals.
• National certification in area of specialty is strongly preferred.
