Job summary
Tampa Family Health Centers in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse (RN) to lead clinical operations and staff development, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across the health center.
The Nurse Manager will partner with providers and leadership to drive operational excellence, compliance, and compassionate care delivery in a busy FQHC setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active Florida license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in primary care, community health, or public health preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily health center operations across clinical and support teams
- Monitor staff schedules, patient flow, and clinic efficiency
- Set clear expectations and provide leadership to clinical support staff
- Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of staff and provider workflows
- Educate staff on policy updates, insurance changes, and process improvements
- Lead team meetings, huddles, and maintain accurate documentation
- Address patient concerns and support service recovery efforts
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment
- Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Supervise staff performance, scheduling, and timekeeping
- Conduct evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed
- Ensure staff credentials and certifications remain current
- Monitor quality metrics, audits, and compliance with AAAHC standards
- Manage inventory, supplies, and department budget needs
- Stay current with regulatory requirements including OSHA, NCQA, and CMS
- Serve as subject matter expert for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program
- Participate in community outreach and engagement activities

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EHR systems and clinical workflows
- Ability to mentor, develop, and motivate staff
- Strong problem-solving and operational management skills
