Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Helps create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices regarding clinical care to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, in collaboration with the Medical Director and other facility leadership. Ensures adherence to standards of care.
  • Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
  • Supports and pursues the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, practices, and legal/regulatory standards.
  • Manages efficient patient throughput and delivery of high quality, patient-centered care through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
  • Facilitates effective care coordination policies and procedures to promote improved quality, safety, and efficiency in care. Ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
  • Manages nursing practice and department operations. Monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met.
  • Reviews various feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identifies opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction. Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
  • Identifies development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams. Provides coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance, including corrective action or performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Ensures staff clinical competence, education, licensure, and required certifications through ongoing, confidential management of employee records.
  • Manages staff scheduling. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Manages operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment. Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings.
  • Acts as DON designee in DON’s absence, if requested.
  • Maintains clinical competence in order to assist with patient care when volume demands.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including assuming or overseeing other required ancillary roles within the center.
  • Participates in Quality, Medical Executive, Governing Body, and Partnership Committees as needed.

What you will need for this role:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • 1+ years applicable experience in leadership, required
  • 1+ years applicable clinical experience, required
  • Experience in OR or PACU highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment

We have the latest technology in women’s health and breast cancertreatment. We perform same day total joint replacement surgeries. Our other specialtiesinclude, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and cosmetics.
