Job description

An accomplished procedural nursing leader can make an immediate impact in a role that combines clinical visibility, operational authority, and meaningful strategic influence. This Nurse Manager of Interventional Radiology opportunity places you at the center of a high-acuity service where thoughtful leadership directly shapes team performance, procedural flow, and the patient experience.

The hospital offers an acute care setting where experienced leaders are supported without being micromanaged. A stable clinical team, accessible leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a structured onboarding experience create the foundation for early success. The organization values clinician autonomy, practical problem-solving, and a workplace culture built on accountability and respect, with room for long-term advancement as leadership capabilities and organizational needs evolve.

The Interventional Radiology department is an established program serving patients who require coordinated procedural and imaging-based care. Daily operations call for close partnership among IR nurses, physicians, technologists, imaging professionals, and ancillary teams, with the Nurse Manager maintaining operational ownership across staffing, workflow, quality, and patient-centered care. This leader will have meaningful decision-making authority while guiding scheduling, clinical readiness, resource utilization, regulatory compliance, and safe transitions through the procedural continuum. The environment is well suited to an IR Nurse Manager who appreciates a collaborative clinical team, visible procedural nursing leadership, and the pace of acute care.

Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the Nurse Manager of Interventional Radiology will receive executive support while serving as the principal nursing leader for IR Services. Responsibilities include staff development, performance management, recruitment and retention, competency oversight, quality improvement, policy implementation, and daily coordination with physicians and nursing peers. The position also partners with imaging, anesthesia, perioperative services, pharmacy, laboratory, and other support departments to remove operational barriers and advance organizational priorities. For a leader seeking broader scope, the role provides strategic influence beyond routine departmental management.

Life in Eastern Oregon offers a compelling balance of professional purpose and personal breathing room. The region is known for wide-open landscapes, mountain and high-desert recreation, fishing, hiking, cycling, and four-season outdoor access. Residents also appreciate manageable commutes, a close-knit community atmosphere, family-friendly living, and housing that can provide greater space and value than many larger Pacific Northwest markets.

The healthcare organization will provide a competitive compensation package aligned with experience and internal structure; because a verified salary range was not supplied, specific figures will be shared during the recruitment process.

The total rewards package is expected to include standard healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, continuing education support, and leadership development resources.
