Job Summary and Qualifications
- The Manager for Occupational and Employee Health supervises services to promote employee wellness, maintain productivity, decrease absenteeism, and control costs.
- Administers policies, procedures, and guidelines aligning the workforce with strategic goals for employee health and safety.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates systems and programs to provide integrated services meeting occupational needs.
- Investigates exposures, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions.
- Oversees pre-employment screenings, annual health tests, immunizations, and work injury/illness incidents.
- Manages workers’ compensation claims and communicates with departments regarding employee status.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
- Maintains logs, reports, employee files, and databases accurately.
- Supports accreditation and benchmark achievement.
- Participates in new employee orientation and ongoing education.
- Collaborates with departments and committees related to health and safety.
- Serves as liaison with legal, governmental, and regulatory agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to the organization’s code of conduct and values.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- 2+ years of nursing experience required; experience in Employee Health or management preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state(s) of practice or active compact license.
- BLS certification required.
