Job Description

Under general supervision, the Nurse Manager supervises patient care at a licensed long-term care/skilled nursing facility with rehabilitation services. Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing nursing care on assigned units 24/7.
  2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care using resident outcomes data and regulatory standards.
  3. Providing clinical leadership and ensuring compliance with standards.
  4. Representing the Nursing Division in meetings and committees.
  5. Managing resources responsibly and promoting a resident-centered philosophy.
  6. Ensuring staff coverage using scheduling systems.

The position is at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. The list may be used to fill similar roles over the next six months. Shifts may vary, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid California RN license.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Two years of RN experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care hospital within the last five years.

Substitution: Additional experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse may substitute for education. One year of work experience equals 2,000 hours.

The selection process includes a training and experience evaluation, which accounts for 100% of the score. Successful candidates will be placed on a 6-month eligible list, which may be extended.
