Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for nursing practice and operations for assigned areas.
• Directs patient care in compliance with Joint Commission and state licensure requirements.
• Develops, communicates and updates unit standards, protocols and policies to meet trends in nursing practice and patient services.
• Collaborates with physicians, administrators, patients and staff to provide quality patient care and enhance outcomes.
• Manages staffing, scheduling and utilization of staff and resources to ensure safe, cost-effective care.
• Participates in budget development and contributes to operating and capital budgets.
• Promotes professional development and conducts regular staff meetings for continuous improvement.
