Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an RN Nurse Manager II to oversee daily unit operations, coordinate quality patient care, and lead the nursing team in applying the nursing process and performance standards. The role contributes to long-term goals and policy development within the Nursing Department at Prattville Baptist Hospital.

Requirements include active RN licensure with BLS and a minimum of 2 years of staff nurse experience with progressive management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required with BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.
• Minimum 2 years as staff nurse with progressive nursing/managerial experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and train staff, with scheduling capability.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement daily unit operations for one or more nursing units.
• Coordinate and evaluate activities to provide quality patient care.
• Act as role model in applying nursing process and quality standards.
• Allocate and manage human resources in assigned areas.
• Participate in Nursing Service Leadership Team to set goals and policy.
• Other duties within scope may be assigned.
