The Manager of ICU is a Registered Nurse responsible for 24-hour administrative management of all critical care nursing functions. Supervises, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care delivery. Develops departmental plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance. Supervises and evaluates all personnel on the unit, utilizing nursing staff efficiently. Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration through written and verbal means. Consults with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
