Responsibilities

The Manager of ICU is a Registered Nurse responsible for 24-hour administrative management of all critical care nursing functions. Supervises, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care delivery. Develops departmental plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance. Supervises and evaluates all personnel on the unit, utilizing nursing staff efficiently. Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration through written and verbal means. Consults with staff, physicians, and the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Training

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire, maintained current.
• Minimum of two years supervisory/management experience.
• At least three years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire, maintained current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

The estimated total compensation range is $88,483 to $128,148 annually, determined at hire based on skills, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
