Job summary

Christian Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to coordinate patient care in the Emergency Department. You’ll lead staffing, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to clinical standards.

This role emphasizes collaboration, quality improvement, and operational excellence in a high-volume environment. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s, and preferably a Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of nursing leadership

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2-5 years nursing experience.
• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Supervisor experience: less than 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff including hires, training, assignments and performance evaluations.
• Participates in staffing, revenue and expense budgeting and compliance with goals.
• Provide patient care per planned interventions and document per policy.
• Develop and implement collaborative plans of care based on assessment and treatment.
• Oversee payroll, timecards, and staff communications; lead huddles and meetings.
