Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Full Time - Afternoons - Detroit

The Nursing Manager, a Registered Nurse, leads and manages the Emergency Department's patient care delivery. This role involves administrative leadership, collaboration with the healthcare team, and ensuring compliance with policies. The manager fosters staff empowerment, innovative care models, and team collaboration, and shares responsibility for the department's fiscal management.

Position: Emergency Department Clinical Manager, 40 hours/week

Shift: Afternoon shifts

Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotations

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with charge duties, project leadership, or quality initiatives.
  • Successful completion of Henry Ford Hospital Pharmacology test.
  • Commitment to professional development and excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current Michigan RN license.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Physical Demands:

  • May involve heavy lifting of patients or equipment.
