Qualifications

  • BSN or Master’s in Healthcare related field or MBA with Health related focus.
  • Active RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of two years’ recent clinical experience.
  • BLS healthcare provider training required.
  • ACLS healthcare provider training, if applicable.
  • Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits service excellence and accountability in all interactions.
  • Demonstrates leadership competencies for daily operations.
  • Coaches, directs, and supervises unit staff with 24-hour accountability.
  • Recruits, develops, counsels, evaluates and retains staff per HR policy.
  • Sets schedules and daily assignments for the team.
  • Participates in direct patient care as needed.
  • Directs department education/training to promote competence.
  • Acts as a clinical resource for staff.
  • Monitors operating and capital budgets to ensure financial performance.

What the Emergency Room Nurse Manager will need
  • Education BSN or Master's in Healthcare related field or MBA with Health related focus
  • Licensure / Certification Active RN license to practice in the State of Ohio
  • Experience Minimum of two year's recent and relevant clinical experience
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Demonstrates ability to assess, develop and mentor a patient care team
  • Evidence of effective leadership and management abilities/potential
  • BLS healthcare provider training required
  • ACLS healthcare provider training, if applicable
  • Professional certification preferred

  • Financial Performance: Ensures financial performance and profitability through the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets for designated area/unit.
