Job summary

Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) seeks a Nurse Manager to lead nursing services at the Regional Crisis Stabilization Center. The role oversees psychiatric and medical care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team within a residential crisis stabilization program.

The position requires RN with BSN, behavioral health experience, and supervisory background; QMHP registration or trainee status must be obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a BSN or related bachelor's degree.
• One year of behavioral health experience.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• QMHP-T registration within 30 days of employment or active QMHP registration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and assigned psychiatric technicians.
• Coordinate psychiatric and medical services with the treatment team.
• Provide nursing assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, and medically based treatments.
• Administer medications and injections and monitor effectiveness and adverse effects.
• Assist the staff psychiatrist with prescription, administration, and monitoring of client medications.
• Participate in treatment planning and coordinate linkages to community services.
